The PGEC has started half and hour lunch time and pre-shift sessions with Yoga and Well-being Coach Smita Raja. The sessions concentrate on simple exercises that can be done in a chair to bring balance and relieve tension in the body brought about by intense periods of either standing or sitting, especially pressure in the lower back, legs, and neck. The change of energy and increased blood flow relax the body, and with Smita’s gentle guided meditation which accompany the exercises also work to de-stress the mind.

The first of these wellbeing events took place on Friday May 28th and with the next session taking place on June the 8th at the pre-shift time of 19.15-19.45 in the Atrium of the PGEC.
