Booking Seminar Rooms at the PGEC
The Postgraduate Education Centre has facilities which are free to book for Trust staff who wish to arrange a suitable environment for a learning event or educational meeting.
The centre staff are partially funded by HEKSS, who is our Local Education and Training Board and part of Health Education England. HEKSS has been established to ensure the effective planning, education and training of the NHS workforce within the region. Historically their primary responsibility was for the postgraduate education of trainee doctors, but as more recently this has been expanded to the wider multi-professional workforce, priority for educational and learning events will therefore always be given to meet this remit.
At short notice, if we have free rooms, we are happy to accommodate other Trust meetings, but please note we can only accept these bookings up to 8 weeks before.
The rooms that we have, with their maximum capacity** are:
Room 1 – 15 Boardroom, 20 in rows
Rooms 2 and 3 – 20 in rows
Room 6 – 15 Boardroom, 25 rows
Room 8– 20 Boardroom, 30 Rows (50 in rows on agreed occasions)
Clinical Skills Room – For the use of practical-clinical skills development

All rooms have a projector, laptop and flip chart.

Please note that the onsite Kitchen has no weekend cooking facilities but is available for storing food via prior arrangement.

Terms and Conditions of room bookings
Whether you are an internal Trust employee booking a room, or an external person, there is an expectation that the room will be left in the manner that it was found.
All rubbish to be taken with you, or to be placed in the bins provided.
Of an evening, after 17:00 and at weekends, please ensure that the blinds are closed, the computer is shut down and the lights are off before shutting the door behind you.
On occasions for a room booking to take place outside of core hours, we will expect you to collect keys and sign out responsibility for these. You will on these occasions be expected to ensure the room is locked behind you and the key is safely returned.
If any of the above is not adhered to, please note that this will affect any future bookings.
