Strategic Medical Education Manager
I provide leadership in the development and implementation of the Trust’s undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing medical education programmes in line with local and national professional standards.
I deliver a range of high quality and cost effective educational services within the Trust, analysing and evaluating activity and performance, in order to continually improve the quality of medical education in all service areas.
Heather manages the Postgraduate Education Centre and has line management responsibility for Centre staff.
Deputy Medical Education Manager & Academic Registrar
I oversee the management of our governance processes to assess the educational and clinical progress of our Doctors in Training.
I manage the PGEC and have responsibility for the facilities that we provide.
GP Medical Education Officer
I support the implementation of the national requirements for the delivery of the GP curriculum by The Royal College of GP, HEKSS and the GMC.
I provide pastoral support to the trainees and organise their teaching programmes, hospital rotations and placements in local training GP practices.
Undergraduate Medical Education Officer
I also support the dental students at the Trust and arrange regional dental courses and provide administrative support to the Dental Faculty including Mouth Care Matters and the simulation suite.
Foundation Medical Education Officer
I monitor their core competencies and assessments, provide guidance on the use of e-portfolio, and obtain regular trainee updates from the foundation supervisors.
I provide pastoral support and care to all 60 trainees.
Medical Education Receptionist
I ensure that registers are available for each educational event and I record attendance for Consultants and Drs in training appraisals.
Senior Specialty Medical Education Officer
I provide administrative and organisational support to the Specialty Drs at core and higher level across eight College specialties.
I support the implementation of their College curriculum requirements, by assisting with the organisation of their teaching programmes and providing support to their college tutors. I support any portfolio and study leave queries.
I ensure feedback is monitored and improvement plans are put in place.
Study Leave Medical Education Administrator
Using e-expenses I support the Strategic Medical Education Manager in the final sign off and agreement of these monthly.
Medical Education Administrator
I support the delivery of high quality Medical and Dental education in the Post Graduate Education Centre, by assisting foundation, undergraduate and specialty doctors. I also support the learning events which include curriculum teaching for both Trust Doctors in Training and also regional specialty events. I also assist with study leave and simulation.
I support the delivery of high quality simulation sessions in the Newman Simulation Suite here in the PGEC.
I also assist with in situ Simulation training on the wards.
Medical Education Administrator
These learning events will include curriculum teaching for both Trust Doctors in Training and also regional specialty events for HEKSS and the Royal Colleges.
I support the Postgraduate Education Centre by ensuring the teaching facilities are kept clean and set up rooms for teaching and events.
I support the doctors working in Trust and all staff as a well-being dog. Once a week I visit staff with a CISM team member to provide stress relief.
