At SASH we are committed to helping all doctors reach their full potential, and to ensure we support those doctors that wish to
- train/ request to train less than full time(LTFT) and
- return to the clinical area after a period of time out (SuppoRTT)
With this in mind we are pleased to introduce you to our appointed Less than Full Time and SuppoRTT lead:

Since 2013, Ruth has worked LTFT, both in her training and now as a consultant. Having lived the experience of many different LTFT models, she is eager to improve on the accessibility, support and educational opportunities for others working LTFT.

Her role is to:
- Provide support to all junior doctors who are applying/considering applying for less than full time working and or supported return to training
- Attend junior doctor inductions
- Answer email enquiries in a timely fashion about anything related to LTFT and SuppoRTT working in the medical workforce
- Work with medical HR, involved with constructing work schedules and calculating pay for LTFT trainees
- Signposts’ to others within the Trust who can provide the appropriate help/support
- Annual online survey of LTFT trainees
- Develop trust guidance
- Work with supervisors to develop awareness and capability
